<p>BARNSTABLE SPECIAL EDUCATION PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (SEPAC)<br />
<b>Monday, May 14, 2012.</b>  Barnstable Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)<br /><b>“ASK THE ADVOCATE”</b> &#8211; A panel of local educational advocates will answer your questions.<br />
Bring your IEP or 504 or requests for testing and they can answer your questions.  <br />6:30 at Barnstable High School, 744 W. Main St, Hyannis MA  &#8211; Main Entrance, follow signs to Room 1218.<br />

<b>Education department to visit Barnstable schools</b><br />
March 10, 2012 &#8211; Cape Cod Times<br />
HYANNIS — Officials with the state&#8217;s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will visit Barnstable Public Schools next month as part of a routine review of programs in the district.<br />
<br />
The department&#8217;s review is expected to cover special education, civil rights, English learner education, as well as career, vocational and technical education in the district, according to a statement from school Superintendent Mary Czajkowski.<br />
<br />
Anyone who wants to be interviewed during the visit is asked to call Czajkowski&#8217;s office at 508-862-4977 before March 16 or call the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at 781-338-3714. A member of the review team will contact residents who want to be interviewed within two weeks of the visit, which is scheduled to occur the week of April 9.<br />
<br />
Findings from the visit will be given to Czajkowski&#8217;s office, the school committee and posted on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education&#8217;s website.<br />
