Irlen’s Syndrome

A disability that is vision-related and neurologically based.  It can affect reading, cognition, behavior, etc. The syndrome can be missed and the symptoms mimic many other disabilities.   It is not well-known but has an extremely easy fix:  Glasses with special lenses.  Depending on the specific issue, colored lenses or lenses with varying lines placed on the lenses.  While the links provided should not be used to diagnose a condition, they are helpful in determining if seeing a specialist is warranted.
